First Post

So I started a challenge on Facebook with two Beach Body coaches.  One is my coach and she's done amazingly well!  I have Greenberry and Chocolate Shakeology standing by and will begin Slim in Six when the challenge officially begins.  They've challenged us to start a journal.  I thought blogging would work, but I'm horrible at being consistent.  We shall see how this goes :)

What I want out of this challenge - to lose weight and ultimately be healthy where my Type 2 diabetes doesn't need any medications and is completely under control.  I've lost weight before, but tend to get really discouraged when I plateau or if I start feeling like my efforts are going nowhere. I have a lot of weight to lose so sometimes it feels near impossible.  But I'm going to give it my best shot!  2 weeks ago, I went to my doctor.  I weighed in at 305.  My highest weight ever.  I was so ashamed.  I was told if I don't lose at least 90 lbs by my 40th birthday that I need to get a gastric bypass... ugh.  I don't want to go under the knife to lose weight.  I'm not knocking those that have... its  just not an option I want to do at this point in my life.

So here's to losing about 150-160 lbs, starting this new journey and seeing where I go...
